A nice twist on a salty dog, except this little puppy (pardon the pun) gets it punch from tequila. Don't skimp on the salt, this gives it a real punch.

Directions

  1. Rub the rim of an old fashion glass with grapefuit juice, then swirl the rim in a small pile of kosher salt.
  2. In a shaker, combine tequila and grapefruit juice, shake about 15 sec.
  3. Pour over ice in salt rimed glass.

This was very simple, but very delicious. I freshly squeezed the juice but skipped the salt as I'm not a fan of salt with drinks. Thank you.

WOWZA!!!!! I don't usually drink tequila, but I had some in the fridge from making a recipe, and saw this and thought I had to give it a try. I love pink grapefruit juice. All I can say is, it packs a punch. Next time I decide to use some tequila, I'm not going to put as much in this drink. Again, I don't drink tequila. But, the two flavors together along with the salt work well. And yes, the salt is necessary. Thanks BakinBaby for this recipe.
