Pink Princess

"I found this on a Kraft website & thought it would be a great one for kids parties if made in bulk or even Valentine's Day. Just love the name! (Zaar only understands Tang as being Orange flavoured, recipe calls for lemon flavour)"

  1. I enjoyed this slightly tart treat. I love grenadine and limes together, mixed with soda and cream. I did use more grenadine than called for to add a little sweetness to the drink. Thank you for sharing, Made for Think Pink 2015.

  2. Looking for a special drink for the younger group I was captivated by the photo featured on Pink Princess. This makes for a very pretty drink but found my taste testers were much like that of Nytegloris. Love the pink but think for the little ones need to use less lime juice and maybe something sweeter like 7 up or the red cream soda instead of the soda water. Going to try that next time around - that should still allow for the pretty color.

  3. I thought this would be a cute non-alcoholic version of a "mixed drink" to serve the kids when the adults had their drinks. Warning though do NOT put the ingredients in the shaker in the order listed or the lime juice will cause the cream to curdle. As for how it tastes -- It kind of received lukewarm reviews from my tasters.

Melbourne I live on a 5 acre property in the Dandenong Ranges Victoria, Australia, having moved from the burbs when I became pregnant with my now 15 year old daughter Alyssa. Once my daughter was born I became a stay at home mum as I couldn't bear the thought of putting her in daycare. She is the light of my life, I never imagined myself as a mum when younger but now wouldn't have it any other way. Alyssa was made a big sister on the 19th April 2010 when our cheeky little boy Blake was born. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes so quickly become addicted to Zaar as it was previously known & still use it regularly. In addition to being my kids taxi  I also spend my time, reading, gardening and of course shopping. I'm lucky enough that we have the space & so love growing our own fruits, vegies & herbs, this also means we have plenty of room for animals & at the moment have 2 dogs, Max, a Jackshund who's 6, Fletcher, a Kelpie who's 4, 6 cats Snowpea, Fergus, Ginger, Tango, Annie & Cookie, 4 chooks & 2 Ducks. As well as our pets, we also have a lot of native animals around our area, we have kangaroos, wombats, echidna's, possums as well as rosella's, galah's & Cockatoo's hence the name of where I live..
