After reading all the hoopla on the posts about this bread I just had to make it. My three year old and I made it together-so it is pretty eay to make. The loaves were done in about 55 minutes. The bread passed my daycare kids test. They loved it and asked for more. I actually found it more flavorful as it cooled down. Great recipe. Added to cookbook and will cook again.

I made this recipe following the directions exactly, with very good results. I can understand the temptation to add liquid as the dough is very thick, but remember that the cherries and coconut have moisture that will cook out during the baking process. I am not a big fan of maraschino cherries, but this is a loaf even I can enjoy. The bread is moist and very dense. A great addition to a holiday buffet. Thank you for sharing.

Something is missing here.....I had to add 1 cup of water and I doubt it will be fit for anything but the birds....a waste of ingredients.

I made this the other day and hubby said that I can make this anytime! It was his favorite....even over my banana/chocolate chip bread! I followed the recipe to a 't' except I added an additional jar of cherries. The only problem I had was the cherries sinking to the bottom. I plan to per-fect that in the next batch, which will be in the next few days. I can't freeze a loaf, they don't last long enough! Thanks Theresa for posting this one!

I really enjoyed this recipe! It's a heavier bread which I love! Reminds me of a fruit cake...with cherries and nuts yummy!! I froze one of the loaves for unexpected guests :) Prepared for Think Pink 2008 Breast Cancer Awareness.

This was very good! I took one loaf to my boss & his wife with their dinner, and my boss (who does NOT eat sweets) went crazy for it! Thanks so much!

Bread is very dense, almost a gummy type texture. It was ok. Nothing great. One of my kids spit it out and threw it in the trash, the other took one bite then turned her nose up at it. I won't make it again.

This bread awesome! The color, texture and flavor are wonderful. I made 4 mini (3 x 6) loaves out of the recipe and it took 35 - 40 minutes. We ate one and I froze the rest to give out during the holidays. Thanks for sharing!
