This was very good, Barbara. DH and I loved it with our roasted chicken. I'm glad I have leftovers! We're going to try it with ham and pork also. I'd love to try it wrapped in big slices of ham, cut into bite sized pieces and served as finger food at a party. Thanx!

If you check my about me page you'll see that my family makes me make this all the time. Made it for our Fire Co. Pig Roast and people actually said that they will only come this year if I promise to make it again!!

This recipe was given to me and I now make it every Christmas. It is easy to make, tastes good hot or cold, served with ham, chicken and turkey . I actually would eat it with just about anything. Here in Pa it is a well known served dish, but, it is new to me and I love the combination of the tartness and sweetness together. Yum Yum!

This is awesome - its one of my families favorite things and I lost my recipe - I'll be making this for them on Easter - it is fabulous with baked ham.

This was more popular than the spiral ham at Easter lunch! I used a oat-nut sandwich bread which added a nice texture. I will always serve this with ham!

Super easy and taste very good. It is a great dish because it can be reheated in the microwave. Which has worked out great for my family on holidays when there is not enough oven space for everything. I make it, wrap in tin foil, drive 45 mintues and then right before we eat I heat in microwave. Has always been a hit when we are serving Ham.

This is delicious - so easy to make and so good to eat. I used a little over half the sugar and it was sweet enough for us. It was wonderful with a pork roast, and also delightful as leftovers.

This was really good. I reduced the sugar to 3/4 and it was still plenty sweet. Like others said, it is well suited to be a dessert also!

I forgot to rate this when I made it for New Years this year. It is fantastic. I made it again for Easter. My family already considers this part of our tradional food and asks for it everytime I make ham. It is perfect!!! Thank you!!!

This was SO good! My favorite comfort foods are sweets and bread, so this was the perfect combination. I used toasted wheat bread and cooked it for 55 mins and it was perfect. I will definitely be making this again soon!

Made it for Thanksgiving, great recipe, was very popular with the kids. It was too sweet for me, so next time I will cut the sugar by half.

Many years ago my mother received this recipe from her pastors wife. From the first time she made it, it became a holiday tradition. It is my belief that it is the perfect accompaniment to your Christmas ham. Now be warned, this is a sweet recipe that could also be a dessert. If you find the original recipe too sweet for your savory table, just reduce the sugar by half. It will still be fantastic. Don't be shy, give it a try. It is a fool-proof recipe that the kids can get involved in and take part in the holiday meal. Also it will be the hit of any pot-luck gathering

I gave this a four stars only because it was a tad too sweetn as stuffing. I added sage and onion(premade bag stuffing) to lessen the sweetness but it was still very prominent. Never the less, I will make this again and modify it some more, good base for pineapple stuffing though!! Thanks for posting.
