Had this at the fair. Thought this was good. Hope you like this.
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 (15 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups milk
- 1 1⁄4 cups crushed pineapple, undrained
- Combine sour cream and sweetened condensed milk; add milk and pineapple.
- Pour into ice cream freezer canister. Freeze according to manufacturer's instruction.
I used vanilla yogurt instead of milk and only half of the sweetened condensed milk (because the yogurt was already sweet) and it was the best frozen yogurt I've made in an ice cream maker. Lots of possibilities with other fruit, too, but the pineapple was fabulopus--and it was so darned easy, with no precooking! Thanks for sharing!
This could not be easier and everyone absolutely LOVED it! I did use a carton of heavy cream because I didn't think it'd be rich enough with just milk BUt next time, I will just use milk because it's PLENTY rich w/o the cream! I'm ALL for anything you don't have to cook first!!! EXCELLENT!!
I agree with Slatts. Rich but not too sweet, and simple. Great desert! Thanks, Blue Rose! Made for ZWT4.
