  1. The spice makes a nice change that keep this from being to sticky sweet. I saw a few reviews that suggested using bottled juice but don’t think you would get quite the same taste. Thanks for the post DH echoed an enjoyment of the spice in this drink.

  2. Had a couple cups of cut-up pineapple in the fridge, and started this last night. Oh my goodness - that is mighty good stuff! To complete my breakfast, I chopped up the pineapple chunks and used some over cottage cheese. Yum! I bet with a bit more sugar or honey they'd be good over ice cream, too! Thanks for posting! Made for CQ4, Team Happy Campers.

  3. I also had the same idea as Linky and due to circumstances, skipped using fresh pineapple and made this recipe with bottle organic pineapple juice. I love the clove in this. Fresh mint from the garden! Prepared for CQ 2016.

  4. Delicious drink! It was lovely to have instead of my morning OJ. The hardest part was waiting overnight. :) Now the hard part... what to do with all of those Pineapple slices? An Upside Down cake perhaps? Made for CQ4

  5. A yummy drink that could be simplified by using pineapple juice and the spices. Made for ZWT7 - Count Dracula and his Hot Bites

Hello! I have a wonderful husband and two fantastic kids. I love to read, have fun with family and friends, stay active with: running; soccer; golf; biking; hiking; and gardening. I love to travel. I'm looking forward to more international travel someday. Cooking has become a passion for me. I love to read cookbooks, watch the Food Network, and try new recipes. I have way too many cookbooks! A few of my favorites are: Barefoot Contessa (any - but especially 'Family Style'),Rachael Ray 30-Minute Meals 2, Roasting by Barbara Kafka, Beyond Parsley & The Black Dog Summer on the Vineyard Cookbook. I try to carefully choose recipes that I think my family will enjoy, which is why most of my ratings are 3-5 stars. Happy cooking!
