This is a really good recipe. I used the tidbit cuts of pineapple and made sure to drain the pineapple really well. Also, if you have the time grate your own cheese vs the bag stuff it makes a big difference. For the crackers I swapped out the Ritz with Wheat Thin Toasted Garden Valley Veggie Crackers. I crush the crackers and put them on top of the pineapple mixture. I then drizzle the melted butter over the crackers - I think it gives it a better crust on top. The crackers give it a savory vs. sweet flavor and it is really good.
Mine was runny and did not re-warm well. I drained the pineapple and measured everything correctly. I don't know what went wrong.
Made dish according to recipe but used fresh cut pineapple since I had some going bad. Overall a very tasty dish, the cheese gave me pause but when served I couldn't taste it.
This is recipe I have used for years. It is wow. You will wish to double the recipe. It is so good. Your guest will ask for second helpings... I like to use the tidbit pineapples in mine..Yummy
A friend promised me that this was a wonderful recipe, however when I read the ingredients I doubted that. But she had never steered me wrong before,so I made it several years ago for Easter. Now whenever I have ham I always get requests for this.It really is a wonderful recipe!!!THANX for posting it.
My family has been making this recipe for years! It makes an incredible side dish with ham (think Easter ...), or any weeknight meal. Or, if you feel like trying something really fun, serve it warm, topped with vanilla ice cream as dessert. Sooo good! It's yummy for breakfast too.
