I'm not sure what happened, but this did not turn out very well for me. I checked the recipe again and I followed all of the directions as given...the cake looked fine when I took it out of the oven but by the time it had cooled, it was very flat and rubbery. The taste was pretty good and I loved the topping - I'll continue to check back with this recipe and see if anyone posts any fixes/updates to this, as I'd like to try it again...

Made this cake this morning. Did not add nuts. My Dh had to have some out of the oven. Did not get to make the frosting. Just sprinkled it with powdered sugar. The cake was half gone by the time two of my children got a piece. Will try to make frosting next time before everyone gets up! This is a great recipe!

I forgot to mention - I skipped the nut because of kids.. (really hard for me to do as i used to double the nuts in everthing!)
