I can't say anything about this but I love this recipe.


  1. Drain beets, reserving 2/3 cups liquid (if necessary add water to make 2/3 cups of liquid).
  2. In a large pan combine all ingredients, bring to a boil.
  3. Simmer 10 minutes.
  4. Stirring occasionally.
  5. Refrigerate.
  6. Before serving drain and remove cinnamon stick and cloves.

I bought some fresh beets just to make these and they were so delicious. One of my favorite things to do with beets. The flavor was awesome!

Delicious and just what I was looking for in a pickled beet recipe. I didn't have any whole cloves (I don't know how that happened lol) so I used a pinch of clove. Before I make this again, I will definately have some whole cloves to use.
