- 14.79 ml butter or 14.79 ml margarine
- 118.29 ml grated onion
- 59.14 ml grated celery
- 8.62 ml salt (or to taste)
- 1.23 ml pepper (or to taste)
- cayenne pepper, to taste
- 2 (793.78 g) can baby peas (petit pois)
- 118.29 ml cold water
- 2.46 ml cornstarch
- 1 piece pimiento, diced
directions
- In a heavy pot, melt the butter, then add the onion, celery, and seasonings.
- Cook, uncovered, over medium heat, until onions are wilted.
- Add peas.
- Dissolve cornstarch in cold water and add to pot, stirring constantly.
- Cook, uncovered, over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
- Add pimiento.
