made a profile just to say these were awesome! however, I substituted sweetener for sugar, and smart balance for butter and they're still delicious... without the guilt. and, according to my calculations, only 175 calories per cake?! awesome!
I love this recipe! The only changes I made were using 2 tbsp of brown sugar and 1 of regular sugar. I also added 1/2 cup of melted peanut butter. So good!!! This will be the only pancake recipe I use from here on out!!! My son devoured these!!
This is a terrific pancake recipe! It's hard to imagine how such big and hearty pancakes can also taste so light and fluffy. I'll be using this recipe for pancakes from now on ....thanks for sharing it! Made for the Best of 2020 Event (recommended by AZPARZYCH)
Amazing! Have used mix and always thought it was pretty good but these are so light and fluffy and above all easy - I actually mixed all the ingredients together at once, and used a whisk to make sure it was blended smoothly. Will be a regular family recipe. Many thanks for posting such a great recipe!
VERY good, light but thick and fluffy. I scaled the recipe down to make only 4 6-in. pancakes, tossed in some frozen blueberries as they cooked, and they came out great. Thanks for posting!
PERFECT EVERY TIME! I've made these pancakes several times now and they always turn out perfect. This last time we added 3 mashed very ripe bananas and served with whipped cream and chopped pecans -- YUM! Thanks for a great recipe!

Been using this recipe since I found it two years ago, and it's still five star. We cut back on the salt by half but that's personal preference. About to make yet another batch this morning. It's become a traditional breakfast treat when the kids have friends stay over. Thanks Bill for sharing this great gem.
These pancakes are soooo good! Though the batter is very thick (which initially scared me) the pancakes were perfect- light & fluffy. They are tasty even without syrup. Only change I made was to add 1/2 tbsp. of vanilla. I don't make huge pancakes so this recipe yielded 14 pancakes. I had plenty of leftovers to freeze and will enjoy on another day -yum!
