Found this on answers at yahoo.It says it goes with pita.
- 20 garlic cloves
- 1 cup olive oil (not Extra Virgin)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 -3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 dash cayenne
- Chop garlic in the food processor add salt lemon juice and cayenne and mix.
- Then emulsify the oil into garlic to desired consistency.
As posted, I'd have to give it 3 1/2 or 4 stars....but if you leave out the salt and then add some feta cheese and chopped black olives, this is a worthy dip to drag your freshly made pita bread through....or even a really yummy yeast roll! Throw in a little freshly cracked black peppercorns, and this is perfection!!! With additions it is 5 star!
