DH and I enjoyed the Pernod Classique with a lovely summer meal of fresh sea scallops, we thought it complimented the seafood perfectly! Light, simple and refreshing, this will be a regular at our house. Thank you FlemishMinx for sharing.
You said it. The classic mixture: 1 part Pernod and 5 parts water. I use mineral water (non sparkling) and instead of ice cubes I use to put Pernod and water into the fridge for a while. A refreshing aperitif. Never change a winning team.
Bien sur, this is the way we drink pastis! Though I have to admit, at my house I favor Granier, "mon pastis"...although Pernod is the better pastis, when I moved, I could only find Granier, so now...c'est ca!

This is such a refreshing drink! It also happens to be the way I drink ouzo. The pernod is nicer, imo. Thicker, sweeter, with that refreshing anise flavour I love - oh, and it's really pretty too. Thanks FlemishMinx for making this recipe readily available.
