This worked pretty well....on the newer marks it worked better than on the ones that have been there for a while! Thanks for posting a very helpful hint!

Awesome! I think mine were really old because it took a lot of elbow grease but it's the only thing I ever tried that worked. Thanks for this tip Elaine May. Recommended by lazyme

My son draw on his desk in his bedroom. It was made a few months ago. I tried it and I was able to remove it. Thanks ElanieMay :)

I was so skeptical because the permanent marker was on a worn kitchen table with not much veneer but it worked wonders and I now have a kitchen table without orange marks on it! You are right that it did take a few applications and a bit of muscle but it is well worth it to not have those marks!! Thanks so much for a great trick! Made for your win in Tag Tic Tac Toe

Yay! This worked really well. Two of my grand daughters were 'decorating rocks' and other things . Got some permanent marker and blue paint on tables and on some tiles in the bathroom. I tried this on both areas and it worked! It didn't get the blue paint off of the walls... but helped lighten it a bit. Thanks Elainiemay for a handy recipe. Made for 123 Tag.

This was so amazing! My grandson mistakenly wrote on my table with a permanent marker and I couldn't get it off, so I used this technique and it worked! I had to repeat it 3 times to get it all of but now it's all gone! Thanks so much!
