These potatoes are terrific,wonderfull ,very yummy espicially with a bit of gravy on them.Make sure you par-boil them first otherwise they won't be fluffy on the inside.I sometimes season them with garlic before putting in oven.Another way to rough the sides of the potatoes is to shake them in a colander after boiling them.
To looneytunesfan I checked on ask jeeves and floury potatoes means a starchy potato such as russets or idaho. Hope this helps. I was sutmped also
We really liked these. I wish mine would have came out as nicely as the photo. I think tho it might have been the type of potato I used. Here in California we do not have "floury potatoes" just regular russet, white or red. I used small white potatoes. Thinking out loud here...wonder if shaking them in flour next time might help? Other then that, they were really delicious. Thank you.
