This was delicious! I had some chicken in the freezer and was in the mood for something different. I came here to find a quick easy recipe and decided on Pepsi Chicken. Im glad I did because it was a sucess. Very good flavor! I will hang on to this recipe for sure! AMAZING! This chicken was soooo easy and had the best Bar-B-Q flavor. Little time, little effort to make and the ingredients were on hand! My husband loved it and couldnt believe that it was made with pepsi, butter and ketchup. I will be useing this recipe over and over. Thank You!

The diet version of this recipe calls for diet coke or diet pepsi and 1 cup of catsup. No margarine. Remove lid the last 10 minutes of cooking to allow to thicken. I Also add vegetables: onion, zuchinni, green pepper etc. Very good served over rice.

Tried this the first time, and it turned out very well... but not without some modification. It does not take long for the chicken to cook through (I used thighs); it was done in about 30 minutes. This left a lot of watery liquid, which is not how the dish should look. I took the chicken out & moved the liquid to a frying pan to reduce the liquid to a gravy/sauce-like consistency. This took an additional 30-40 minutes. (That's a LOT of energy just to reduce the sauce!) In all, there was a little less than 1 cup of sauce. I applied the resultant sauce separately, which turned out ok.

I didnt find it too sweet, but the sauce was quite runny and the chicken a little dry, will make it again sometime using drumsticks. (I used Coke)

This was way too sweet for my tastes. the chicken was a bit dry - but I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts - wonder if it would be differnt if I had left the skin on?? I also think that the sauce was runny - had the consistency of water - needs a bit of flour to thicken it up.

I thought it was great. I added thyme, molassas, chili powder, salt and pepper. I also choped up chicken breast into small pieces. After reading all the comments, I added flour to thicken the sauce. It was a cross between a good chili and a good bbq flavor chicken. All in all...great comfort food.

Maybe I was expecting too much from all the great reviews but I found nothing about this chicken to really crow about... The pepsi sauce was little more than slightly sweetened water and although it did not taste bad, I was disappointed...Guess I was expecting something that would reach out and slap your taste-buds, not tickle them...

Wow! My kids loved this. Salty and greasy chicken combined with sugary goo is a sure fire hit. They also liked it when I sprinkled Count Chocula on their potatoes. I think this recipe was also invented by a 5 year old on "Just Like Mom" by accident. All in all, it's great.

Easy to prepare but I will reduce the amount of pepsi and margarine when I make it again. I also sprinkled garlic powder on the chicken pieces before I poured on the sauce. I did it in the oven and it took awhile for the sauce to reduce but the flavour was good and the whole family enjoyed!

Tasty for family style fare, but not muscular enough for Barb and me, even though I added a tps of dried red chili flakes.

Chicken was tender with great flavor. I cooked for 45 min. I could not get the sauce thick, as previous reviewers had stated as well. But, if you don't like thick sauce, you will enjoy this recipe. I will make this again.

I tried to make this recipe with legs and thighs(skin removed) and I cooked it in the oven. The taste was good, but the sauce became extremely runny. I am going to try breasts next time, but I also think I would probably half the recipe because I ended up with alot of unused sauce.

Belinda, thank you very much for sharing this recipe with all of us. I have tried it and it is delicious just as you said. Lucas #1 needs to be a little more clear. I couldn't tell if she liked it or hated it. Keep up the good work!
