Fantastic! I made this for the first time today, and it was great. Instead of making 1 roll out of the bread dough, I made 2 smaller ones. I also only left it in the oven 30 minutes. Served with brocoli soup. Big hit.
I needed a quick dinner so decided on this. This was good and easy to make. I did have some problems with the dough sticking so next time I would lay some flour down before rolling out the dough. I didn't use the egg or the italian seasoning. I added parmesan cheese to the top. Mine cooked in about 20-25 minutes. This was good but when we added 2bleu's 2 Minute 2 Easy Pizza Sauce for dipping it was a five star recipe.
Very simple, great tasting recipe. I've made it by brushing with the egg and by using pizza sauce; both ways are good. I've also used the frozen dough and homemade--homemade was definitely better, but frozen was fine. I brush butter on when bread comes out of the oven and sprinkle with garlic salt.
I thought that this was lacking in flavour but that is easily adjusted. The next time I do this, I will omit the egg wash and put a thin layer of pizza sauce on the crust then layer with the pepperoni, cheeses and Italian Spice. I used freshly grated parmesan and brushed the top of the roll with melted garlic butter. It was done in about 25 minutes and it looked really nice when sliced. Good bread. Served it with Broccoli and Cheese Soup. Great meal for a cool spring evening.
This is so quick and easy! It reminded me of something similar my dad use to make when I was growing up, but he added sauce too. Very versitle as you can add ham, olives - whatever you'd add to your pizza. This makes a great snack or meal by adding a salad. Yum!

Excellent!! We were short on time, so we used refrigerated pilsbury crescent creations dough. It's 8oz and comes in a sheet of dough, so we halved all of the other ingredients and followed the rest of the directions exactly. It did take slightly less time to bake - about 25 minutes. It was excellent, and we will try next time with frozen or fresh bread dough. What a great recipe, Debe - thanks!
