This is a great treat on a hot summer day. What I do is buy the peppermint candies right after christmas when they're on sale.
- Dissolve the candy in the hot milk over heat.
- Add cream and salt.
- Chill, freeze until quite firm.
- Beat until light and creamy.
- Continue freezing.
- Serve with hot fudge sauce.
