Pepper Steak

"I came across this the other day and had forgot about it...It come from my Aunt..it's really very easy to make...what takes the longest is cutting up your meat and peppers into strips...A nice change for dinner"

directions

  • Brown meat in oil.
  • Add 2 cups water and bouillon cubes.
  • Cover and simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender.
  • Then add green and red peppers.
  • Blend together cornstarch, soy sauce and 1 cup water.
  • Add to meat mixture, stirring slowly until thickened.
  • Serve over fluffy cooked rice and additional soy sauce.
  • Note: I make this in an electric skillet.

  1. wonderful recipe, try adding a can of Italian tomatoes to the beef and peppers after they are sauteed, wonderful!
     
  2. Try add in some green pepper powder (in sauce), like original Austrian recipe.

Hello everyone,I was introduced to this site by my friend Peppermintkitty....I love the site so far..... Let's seeeee, I live in a rural Oklahoma town (in the middle of nowhere! haha) I'm married and have 3 beautiful daughters,ages 12,11 & 8.....I'm a nurse in a nursing home and love to collect recipes..although I find it hard to find the time to cook like I used to, but I must say I can cook pretty good! or at least my hubby doesn't complain! :) We have 2 dogs, a yellow lab,Prince, and a female Shi-tzu,Lexie..Lots of cats and 4 horses,Honey,Jewelz,Guardian and Angel.They are my babies!! I stay really busy with work,kids and hubby! But am hoping I can meet lots of new people on here....
