I put this in the crockpot this morning and we had it for supper tonight, over garlic mashed potatoes, it was wonderfull!! Adjusted it down for 2 and left out the flour and the beef base, added a touch of cayenne pepper and browned the steak strips before putting them in the pot. Thanks for sharing a great taste!!

Charlotte you are right this one is almost like my recipe. But I like the idea about coating the beef with flour. The Worcestershire sause adds a great flavor. Thank You Have a nice day.

I made mine with thin sliced sandwich steaks as well. Instead of the slow cooker, I did 15 min at high pressure in the pressure cooker. Used 1 cup of beef broth instead of beef base, and then Thickened with 2 tbsp of tomato paste just before serving over rice. DELICIOUS.

This recipe makes for some delicious eating! I didn't have round steak in the 'fridge, but I did have some of those little blade steaks (for pan frying), so I used those. I browned them in some olive oil on top of the stove, put them in the crockpot with a generous amount of sliced onion, sliced elephant garlic, and sliced red, orange, and yellow peppers. I didn't use any beef base, but the Worcestershire and soy sauces were delicious. The steak came out melt-in-your-mouth tender. I'll make this again and again. Thanks for such a good recipe.

I am a single dad with two hungry boys, and I made this for them one night and we had an instant hit on our hands. They make me make this at least once a week...(Not that they have to convince me..It is a great meal.)

Excellent! We all enjoyed this very much, it tasted so good. I browned the steak a little at first and left out the flour and it turned out really good. Thanks a lot Charlotte J....

Excellent - I didn't have plain tomatoes so I used garlic & oregano flavored. Put it all in the crockpot yesterday morning - did my chores and dinner was ready when I was. Thank you!!

Put this in the crockpot early yesterday morning so we could have it for dinner when we got home from church. I didn't have two green peppers, so used a mixture of green, yellow and red. I also added 1/2 tsp chinese five spice. It was delicious. Thanks for a great and easy recipe!

I've been making this recipe for years and serving it over mashed potatoes. We like that even better than the rice!!! I also double the green peppers, add one cup of beef broth, and use about 4 - 5 TBLS of soy sauce mixed in with about 1/4 cup corn starch for thickening rather than flouring my steak.
