Thanks for the recipe, although I'm not really too much into tomatoes, this was good. I especially like the flavor of the broth with the bacon. I think next time, I will use 1 can of tomatoes and add either navy beans or potatoes. Good , easy soup.

Before I get on with my review, I have to say that I'm very pleased to be the first to rate this.:) I made this recipe on 10/12/11 for the 2011 Fall PAC Event. Except for cutting in half, the recipe was made as it was written. The directions were so well written that even a beginner Chef could follow the recipe without making a mistake. I really enjoyed the " smokiness" that the bacon gave the soup, it didn't overpower the taste of the other ingredients at all.The only thing that I added to the soup was just a bit of ground black pepper. And to make it a perfect lunch, a grilled cheese sandwich was made to go with it. And how can you have tomato soup without a grilled cheese sandwich ? Thanks for posting and, " Keep Smiling :) "
