Penne with Turkey, Bacon and Camembert

I can whip up a pot of this in under 1/2 hour, making this a terrific after-work recipe. Serve with a salad and maybe some crusty bread, if you're really hungry.

  1. Cook penne according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, cook onion and bacon in a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring often, until bacon is browned, about 4 minutes.
  3. Add turkey; cook 1 minute.
  4. Reduce heat to medium; add turkey broth and Camembert.
  5. Cook just until cheese melts.
  6. Stir in pasta, whipping cream, and basil and salt and black pepper to taste.

Easy and fast. We thought it could use a little more spice, as it was a bit bland. I love the idea of melting a little camemebert into sauce, will use this trick again!
