This recipe was given to my mum few years ago by her neighbour. Now that I'm married I do it for my husband as well and he loves it. Besides it's very easy to do it.
- 500 g penne
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 200 g back bacon
- 200 g mushrooms
- 200 g frozen spinach
- 200 ml fresh cream
- salt and pepper
- olive oil
- Saute onion and garlic in some olive oil until soft.
- Add the bacon and mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the fresh cream.
- Finally add the spinach and season.
- Toss in the cooked pasta al dente and serve.
OH! That was delicious! I left out the spinach as I didn't have any, and added a few other mixed herbs, and it was really delicious. I've never had bacon in a pasta before, but it was really good. I will definitely be making this again. (Reviewed for Spring PAC 2007)
