I'd expected this to be spicier. Made per the recipe, but felt like something was missing. Have a pan of it in the freezer, so will see if I can easily tweak it to our tastes.

Jellyqueen, this has been in my "to try" list for a while, and I finally made it, and wish I had made it sooner! This is really good! I didn't put peppers in--I don't really like them, but the olives added such great flavor, I loved it! I also only had a 15 oz can of tomato sauce, so used that instead of diced tomatoes. I whipped it up one night so I could pop it in the oven the next night, and then that night, I wasn't able to make dinner. I heated it up anyway, and ate it for "leftovers" for lunch the next day, and even having not gotten to eat it "fresh" it is still really good! I'm looking forward to getting to eat it fresh, and looking forward to leftovers as well!***Edited to add a star rating--I have a hard time getting that in there with the new rating format.

Very tasty pasta bake! I slightly browned the salami with the onions and halved the oil, salami is so fatty itself.

This recipe was easy, tasty and very appealing. Wonderful to serve with garlic bread, and/or salad. I used the cheeses on hand: moza and white cheddar. The meat was a salami stick. This dish has Sicilian flavor, and appearance.

this was very good. i did not use the green pepper or olives. i did not have salami so i used turkey pepperoni instead. i also substituted 2 cups mozarella instead of the swiss cheese and cheddar, too lazy to go to the store. a really nice recipe even or maybe because of the substitutes. thanks

Delicious casserole, although I did make adjustments on mostly all ingredients, I found that I needed to increase the diced tomato slightly (just personal preference) I sprinkled mozza cheese on top of the casserole also. Don't omit the olives in this recipe, it's what makes this sauce! JQ thank you for a wonderful recipe!...Kitten:)

Very nice dish. I had to leave out the olives, because my son doesn't eat them. :)

This was a very tasty pasta dish. I had some very ripe roma tomatoes so I used them (peeled and chopped), I added them to the onion/garlic and let them simmer for 5 minutes before I added the rest of the ingredients. I halved the amount of olives because I have a non-olive lover in the house and I knew he'd sit there and pick them out. The finished dish had a lot of flavour, loved the cheesey layer in the middle and best of all, the entire family enjoyed it!! A definite make again recipe.
