- 1⁄4 cup honey
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 cups pecan pieces
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
- Cook, stirring frequently, over medium heat until thickened.
- Serve immediately.
I didn't care for this recipe- - I was looking for one that was thicker.
Very good, and the ingredients will be found in cupboard, for sure. There's always sugar, honey and some pecans. No dairy needed here. Keeps well in room temperature for next time and does not harden up, if not cooked any longer than needed.
This was so delicious and very easy to make. My husband loves pralines and he was so excited when I made this. I served it over ice cream. Very sweet and a wonderful brown sugar and pecan flavor. Thanks Stephanie C.
