  • Stir water, sugar, cocoa, syrup and cinnamon sticks in large saucepan over heat until sugar dissolves.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Add pears and simmer for 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Remove pears.
  • Boil syrup until reduced.
  • Serve pears with syrup and ice-cream.
