Also works well with Bartlett Pears, but I liked how the recipe turned out with the Bosc Pears.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Preheat oven to really hot (anywhere from 350-500).
  2. Slice pears in half and core.
  3. Rub pear meat with butter, stuff walnuts into pear center.
  4. Cover with with a little bit of honey and some maple syrup.
  5. Bake"meatdown" until pears are soft.
  6. Serve immediately.
  7. You can also sprinkle cardamom and cinnamon on top!
  8. Good cognac or brandy helps too.
