"The flavors of pears, celery and fennel all work together to give a really unusual tasting salad. Make this salad when pears are at their best. If good pears are not available you can use apples, melon or even star fruit!"

  • Drizzle the lemon juiced over the sliced pears.
  • Mix together the vinegar, Pernod if you are using it, mustard, salt and sugar until well blended, then gradually whisk in the sesame oil.
  • Arrange the fruit and vegetables attractively in a bowl or on individual plates, and drizzle on the dressing.

I live in Manchester, UK with my fiance and young son. I work at the local hospital in pediatrics and love my job. I also love cooking!! I have a sweet tooth but try and make healthy family meals, I'm not against some lovely treats now and then though :)
