This is so addictive, yummy! I loved it and everyone in my family also did. We had guests from overseas who are in love with this bread.
I added a handful of raisins and a teaspoon of cinnamon instead of nutmeg and used low-fat yoghurt instead of buttermilk. Its turned out FANTASTIC!

This bread was tasty. Lots of pear flavor came through, although next time I would add some extra spice or maybe a brown sugar crumble to the top. Thanks for posting =)

A very mild bread, which for my tastes, could have used the addition of some cinnamon or more nutmeg. I made exactly per the recipe. As per one of the other comments, it is very nice warm with some butter.
