I used regular chicken broth and omitted the salt, I also used smoked paprika and did not use cumin. Other then that, I followed recipe as listed with very tasty results. DH grabbed the entire pot and brought it to camp with him, so that warrants a 5 star rating!! Thanks for sharing your recipe Mike.

Think is FANTASTIC as is, TRUE! VERY healthy, LOVE the pear/butternut combination too! GREAT on a cold winter's night for me! Thank you for another wonderful recipe!

I think the rosemary and paprika must have been "old". Lacked a little flavor. Had used dried rosemary. Try again with better herbs/spices. Otherwise VERY good.

Excellent flavor and thick, smooth texture! I made this exactly as written and wouldn't change a thing. I used my immersion blender to make pureeing easier. Thanx for a delicious, healthy soup that is perfect for fall and worthy of being part of a holiday dinner!

I doubled the recipe and made enough for almost a week, and was not sorry! This was delicious. I liked it with LOTS of yogurt. The cumin went a long way - next time I'd use a little less, unlike Mikekey ;)

You will not be disappointed if you make this bisque. The cumin and ginger give it a complex flavor. I used my hand-held blender and a dollop of sour cream as I was out of yogurt! Thank you mikekey- It's a keeper!
