Oh, where have you been all my life?! These bars are irresistible, a hit with the whole family! So long boxed bars! I subbed honey for corn syrup; didn't have Rice Krispies, so I subbed 1 c. steel cut oats for texture. Turned out wonderfully. Thank you!!!!

These bars are so easy and delicious! I tried them out by making a half recipe first, but liked them so much I had to make a full batch immediately! Only made one change - I used honey instead of corn syrup. Makes an easy, tasty snack!

WOW, these bars are amazing! They taste sooo good! Very peanutty, seedy, sweet and delicious. Mmmm! I used puffed buckwheat in place of rice krispies and sugar-free hazelnut syrup in place of the corn syrup. I felt that would make it sweet enough, so I left out the sugar completely. That way my bars didnt set up that sturdy, but they tasted so good and I could eat a few more. lol
THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this true winner with us, Jen! I cant wait to make these again!
Made and reviewed for I Recommend on recommendation of weekend cooker February 2012.

These turned out great!! I was looking for something healty to pack for DH's lunches and this fit the bill perfectly. I did use agave instead of the corn syrup and they still held together fine. I also used crumbled up rice cakes instead of the rice krispies to avoid all the extra ingredients they use on those. Mine are probably a little less sweet because of this change but we don't mind at all. Thanks so much for a quick, easy, yet healthy snack!!

When DS hollered good bye as he headed out the door, with a mouth full of these freshly made bars and both hands full, I knew that meant this was a Five star recipe. Thanks A LOT Jen - now store bought energy bars will never be good enough! I used dried cranberries.

These were a delight. I opted for creamy peanut butter, uncooked instant oatmeal, peanuts and raisins. We all enjoyed for breakfast this morningWorth repeating . Made for PAC Spring 2010.
