I was looking for recipes for caramel apples that were different from the standard recipe on the back of the caramels bag. Personally, I am not a fan of peanut butter, but I don't know of any children who dislike peanut butter so I gave this a try. Wow! It was really, really good (I even liked it)! I had to add an additional tablespoon of water to the mixture to make it easier to dip and I omitted the chopped peanuts and rolled the dipped apples in everything from nuts to chopped Butterfinger bars. They were great and loved by all! This is definitely a keeper.people found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... Was this review helpful to you? I made these for Halloween. Real easy to make. The peanut butter gave the caramel a smoother creamier texture. I had to add a little more water because mine was to thick to dip the apples in. Thanks Karen for a new caramel apple recipe.people found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... Was this review helpful to you?
