  1. In lg bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, and salt.
  2. Stir in applesauce, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Pour half the batter into a greased 13x9 baking pan.
  4. In mixing bowl, combine filling ingredients.
  5. Drop by TBS onto batter.
  6. Spoon remaining batter over top.
  7. Cut through batter with a knife to swirl the peanut butter mixture.
  8. Bake at 325* for 25-30 minutes, or until center is almost set.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Mix frosting ingredients until smooth.
  11. Frost the cooled brownies.
