Loved this recipe! The pancakes turned out so light and fluffy. I got thumbs up from the hubby as well as my peanut butter obsessed 4 year old. They topped theirs with syrup but I used grape jelly. I cooked up some turkey bacon to go along with them. I may or may not have made a PB and jelly bacon pancake sandwich :D
These are the first pancakes I've made here in Trinidad (learning to cook with this high humidity) and they turned out great. I made 2 small changes. Cut the serving in half for me and DH, and that turned out just perfect with 2 medium sized cakes each; and added 1 teaspoon of vanilla to the mix. The mix turned out a lot thicker than most of my pancake mixes and I think next time I might add a little extra milk to the batter. But the end result were thick, light, fluffy pancakes with just a hint of peanut butter, not to sweet and set of nicely with maple syrup. Really enjoyed them.
Fluffy, with a nice light peanut butter flavor. I easily subbed in a gluten free flour blend. Thanks for sharing!
I couldn't find my usual peanut butter pancake recipe, so gave this one a try. They came out nice and light with a good flavor. They were a big hit with my daughter and her friend, who enjoyed sprinkling theirs with chocolate chips. They each ate 5 and left me 2. Will use this recipe again!
Very yummy! My kids love peanut butter and pancakes, so this was a real winner in our house! I too cut down the baking powder with great sucess. We'll do this one again and again!
Terrific! My 1 yr old son loves them!! (I do, too!). Followed others advice & only used 1 TBSP baking powder - very pleased w/ the results. Thank for posting!
I followed the directions exactly and like some other people I found the pancakes to be kind of bitter. I will make these again but will try using only 1TBS of baking power and 1tsp of baking soda. I love the idea of peanut butter pancakes though and hope that they will come out better next time. UPDATE I made these again with the baking soda replacing 1 Tbs of baking powder and they were SO much better
Great! I used 1 T baking powder and they were fine. Good p-butter taste.
We loved this! The kids gobbled them up, and the hubby loved them too! The peanut butter flavor is really there, without being overwhelming. We used creamy peanut butter, but that was what was on hand. Thanks for an easy, fast, and tasty breakfast!
I thought these were delicious! I used natural peanut butter - the kind that's just ground up peanuts. I took the other reviewer's advice and only used 1 TBS + 1 tsp baking powder and they were light and fluffy. I'll make these again! Thank you!
