Can't get much easier than this!
Make and share this Peanut Butter Crunchies recipe from Food.com.
- In large pan, bring sugar and corn syrup to a boil.
- Stir in peanut butter and remove from heat.
- Add cornflakes.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
These are great! First thing my son wanted me to make after he got his braces off! I microwave the sugar & syrup in a 3 qt. bowl, stirring after 2 minutes, then stirring after each 30 seconds until it's boiling. Then I continue with the recipe. Very easy this way.
I agree with Joseph - very good with multi-grain cheerios! I used Reduced fat PB too. These treats would almost make a good grab and go breakfast. :)
This was good, a little too sweet for my tastes, even though I reduced the sugar and peanut butter to 3/4 c. each. Next time, I will try using only 1/2 c. sugar. Also, I used 6 c. of cornflakes and they held together fine. Thanks for an easy, sweet snack for families =)
