I made these cookies today, then only change I made was to add some peanut butter chips to them. They turned out perfect. The recipe ended up making 35 cookies, and I'm sure they will be gone by tomorrow! :)
Thanks for posting
My 8yo granddaughter and I made these together and had such a good time. They were easy to make and taste wonderful! Careful, though...they're very addicting.
These cookies were inexpensive, easy, and just delicious--exactly what I look for in a recipe! These taste just like my mom used to make when I was a little girl. Yes, they're -that- good! I would recommend softening the butter before trying to stir it in; had I done so, it would have saved me some time! In my oven, I bake these for only 8 minutes. They come out crispy, chewy, and perfect.
This is the cookie recipe that I have been using for years aside from mine uses 1&1/2 cups of flour which I really recommend. With 1& 1/4 the dough is way too sticky to roll into balls. Aside from that, I LOVE these cookies! Always make them for the holidays
Let's give credit where credit is due! This is the recipe in my Betty Crocker cookbook that I received in 1977 and is the best ever peanut butter cookie recipe!!
I'm new to this website and this is the first recipe I've tried. I made these cookies last night and so far I've eaten 11 of them; my husband ate 3 so far.....This is the recipe that my grandmother and I made when I was a little girl. Good memories and good cookies. I added chocolate chips to half of the batter, but the ones without the chips are better. Thank you for submitting this recipe.
Quick, easy and really good!
Very good cookies! And a teaspoon on the cookie sheet is definitely enough to make a good sized cookie. I followed the directions exactly and these made about 2 dozen large ones. Will make these again and again! Thanks so much for a very tasteful recipe!
first time I've made these, and I took a chance and made 12 dozen to bring in to the office and so glad I did! recipe makes stellar cookies as written...thx!
Just baked these today and they turned out really well! I was tempted not to sift the flour because I hate that thing, but I did it and if it helped the cookies in anyway...so be it because they are awesome! I used chunky PB and used more vanilla than called for and even a little almond extract too. My gf who asked that I make her PB cookies cannot stop eating them and I have had at least 3 since I finished baking them all!! Thanks for sharing.
