I tried it and I have finally found the peanut butter cookie I've been searching for. I made them according to your directions and I baked them on parchment paper. In my oven it took 12 minutes. I did not flour or sugar the fork. The cookies are next to me and I'm not sure if they will make it to the party! Thank you so much for posting.
Great easy recipe for a quick fix! I followed the advise of other reviewers and added another 1/4 cup flour and I gotta say the texture is perfect! I was running out of creamy peanut butter so I used a bit of crunchy too. WOW! My DSD was eating these faster than they could coll off! I got 3 1/2 dozen 2.5-3 inch cookies. Thanks Christine!
These were so chewy and peanut buttery tasting! Easy to put together. I can't just stop at one!
Pretty good, we'll eat them all but probably try another recipe next time.
So simple and so good! These come out perfect every time. This recipe is definitely a keeper!
To me, this is exactly what a peanut butter cookie should be: moist, not-too-sweet, and - of course - peanutty! This is the exact same recipe (using butter instead of shortening) from my 1950 edition of Betty Crocker's Picture Cookbook. It's the only peanut butter cookie I'll be using from now on... Thanks for posting this recipe!
These are delicious! I made mine uniform by dropping from a 2" cookie scoop, then flattening with a fork dipped in granulated sugar, and baking for 12 mins. Got 18 nicely-sized cookies. Thanks for an outstanding recipe!
These cookies are amazing! This recipe couldn't be easier to follow and the results are delicious! I added some chocolate chips for an extra treat - yum!!
I'm not a fan of PB cookies, but these were great warm out of the oven and my husband loved them. Mine were done in 8 minutes.
