These were really good! Not too sweet but just enough, when you want something kinda sweet. You were right about only making six at a time. With a glass of milk, and right out of the oven these dissappeared within hours. Thanks!
I have been making these for my children for 2 years now and they absolutely love them. They beg for them on Saturday mornings! I usually make them with freshly milled flour, and we think they are perfect in both taste and texture. Previously, PB muffins were never my favorite, having tried many recipes and never having been won over--but now I am hooked! These muffins are a staple for my family now. Thanks for an awesome recipe!
These are ok. A little bit dry for my tastes.
Use Jiff PB. Pretty good. They are best when the edges are crunchy so cook them long. Then they taste like a cookie. I didn't use the butter and used 1/2 whole wheat flour for the flour. My kids beg for these. I triple the batch and get 18 regular muffins and 12 mini muffins. They freeze well and thaw in the microwave for a quick breakfast. Enjoy!! Update: I made these with cheap PB and they came out a lot dryer. Make these with Jiff and they turn out wonderful. I didn't think it would matter but the difference is 5 stars vs 2 stars.
I have two teenagers. One liked it and one didn't. I didn't try them myself but probably won't make them again.
Yummy! Made for an office lunch and as excpected DH didn't want to let them out the door this morning. Easy to prepare, even mixing by hand. I made a double recipe, resulting in 12 good sized muffins. I excpected a slightly different texture than a typical muffin, based on the mixing directions being somewhat different than most muffin recipes. The finished muffins were pleasantly dense and had a great blend of peanut butter and chocolate flavors. One co-worker said "It's like eating a muffin shaped peanut butter chocolate chip cookie." These will be requested at home often.
Very good! I doubled this recipe and made 12, as I had people to help me eat them all, and otherwise followed this recipe exactly. Yum! These muffins had a great peanut butter taste without being too dense. They're at their best fresh out of the oven or gently reheated.
