"My mom got this recipe back when she was working as a teacher's aid at the local elementary school many many years ago. These are the peanut butter bars the school fixed for us and we all loved them."

118.29 ml oleo
118.29 ml brown sugar
118.29 ml sugar
1 egg
4.92 ml vanilla
78.78 ml peanut butter
236.59 ml flour
2.46 ml baking soda
1.23 ml salt
236.59 ml quick oats

directions

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix as for cookies, pour into a great 9x13 pan. Press if necessary. Bake for 25 minutes. While still warm, ice with peanut butter icing. Cut into bars.
Peanut Butter Icing:
Mix 2 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp peanut butter, 1 cup powdered sugar. Add enough water to make thin consistency to drizzle over top.
