Quick and easy to make! This recipe is really interesting. It's not a banana muffin, but it's not overwhelmingly peanut butter flavoured either. It tastes like a good peanut butter & banana sandwich. I used chunky peanut butter, which gave some extra texture to the muffins - a great addition, I think. I'd love to pair these muffins with strawberry jam, just to finish off the PB&J flavour combination. Side note: I got 14 muffins, but the 3 bananas I used were quite large.

Hmm.. not my favourite, but to be fair, I substituted half of the flour for wholemeal. Just a little dry and flavourless compared to recipes I have made before, but not bad (hey, I'll eat them anyway!). I think mine turned out as a 3 out of 5, but I rated them 4 to give the recipe the benefit of the doubt about the flour substitution.

These are wonderful muffins. Very easy to make and turned out soft and moist. This is the first time I made banana muffins with peanut butter, we loved it! I, too, used chunky peanut putter since that's what I had. I don't know why but I got 18 muffins in all! I used 3 bananas, and the egg was large, could that be the reason? I don't know but I am not complaining! DD helped me make these, so she was (very) generous when adding the chocolate chips! Thank you, Irmgard, for sharing this wonderful recipe, definitely a keeper!

These tasted great. I used chuncky peanut butter and that added a good texture. I did think there is too much peanut butter and I couldn't taste the banana so I had to add more bananas. Next time I would start with a few tbs. of PB and then add to taste.

Everyone loved these, and my son especially liked that they had chocolate chips in them. :) I didn't actually try any, but since they were enjoyed by everyone else, that's certainly worth 5 stars to me. ;) I made per recipe, but just noticed as I was reviewing that the directions say to cool in the pan; out of habit, I removed them from the pan and cooled on a rack. I did end up with a full pan (12) muffins. Thanks for posting, Irmgard!

Very good! Followed recipe all the way. I think it might be better without the chips and with a jam swirl instead - will try that next time. Very good banana and PB flavor though!
