      Yay for you! I' put this combination together when I was a small child and it's still my (ANd my kids' and grandkids') favorite quick bite to eat. Peanut butter toast w/sliced tomato is one of the most delicious and healthful quick breakfasts anywhere. I also like to stick under the broiler one slice of toast w/peanut butter, another with sliced med. or sharp cheddar. Broil til bubbly, slap together w/sliced tomato, bit of salt & lots of pepper.

      well, I've been thinking about making this for a long time. I finally had some extra tomatoes around ... so I did. Like Fern, I'm not sure I'd do it again. It was not gross, that's for sure, but I didn't love it either. I prefer peanut butter and apples =). But thanks for posting! If I loved tomatoes, it'd be great I'm sure!

      I just started eating this for breakfast when we got hold of some home grown tomatoes. It's my new favourite now avocadoes are too expensive to use (instead of the peanut butter). I like to use a crunchy PB and think the salt and pepper are essential. Thanks for a great idea Perfect Pixie :-)
