came from a Midwest Living magazine recently..I am a big fan of huge cookies...I imagine you could use chocolate chips instead of raisins if you like..or any kind of chips..or why not both?!

VERY YUMMY COOKIES! This recipe is very quick and easy to put together and makes for really big, crumbly and tasty cookies! I made two changes: Used tahini instead of peanut butter, cause Im allergic to peanuts and reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup, so that the cookies had a nice fruity sweetness from the raisins. They came out fabulous and did not last long around here. :) Thanks so much for sharing this lovely recipe with us, grandma2969! Its one of my new staples for sure.

  1. grease cookie sheets --
  2. in a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter and butter -- mix 30 seconds at medium speed.
  3. add sugars and beat till fluffy --
  4. add egg and vanilla and beat well.
  5. beat in dry ingredients.with wooden spoon -- stir in oatmeal and raisins.
  6. drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls onto cookie sheet -- 3" apart --
  7. press into 4" circles --
  8. bake at 375* for 10 minutes.
  9. cool on wire rack.
