Best brittle recipe. I have been making this for years. Tastes great. Never thought of using parchment paper. Thanks for tip.

Could you make people more aware that due to the microwaving process involved in this recipe temperatures and timing may vary greatly? I attempted this recipe with a high efficiency microwave and ended up with a dangerous, bubbling, black tar-like mess. I am terrified to re-live the experience. Now my kitchen will smell like burned peanuts and sugar for weeks.
