    Directions:

      In iron frying pan, mix the sugar,syrup, water and salt.

      Bring this to a boil.

      Add the peanuts and cook over med-high heat stirring constantly approx.

      15 minutes.

      Do NOT Scorch.

      Peanuts will crack.

      when mixture turns golden, remove from heat and add baking soda.

      Pour onto a greased cookie sheet and cool.

      Break into pieces when cool.
