I am not sure if you can call it a smoothie if it has ice cream in it. I found this in a Home Cooking magazine from 1999.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 3 large peaches, peeled and sliced or 1 (29 ounce) cansliced peaches, drained
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream
  • 1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon honey

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

I made two of these last night for us to enjoy while watching a movie and bot, did they hit the spot. It was about an hour after dinner and it was a great dessert as well as perfect movie treat in this hot weather. I swapped out the honey for Splenda and used no sugar added ice cream. We loved every last drop! :D

Made this with frozen vanilla yogurt rather than ice cream, but other than that, your recipe was followed right on down, & we had a very satisfying breakfast smoothie ~ Yes, in my book it's a smoothie! Normally I'd be using frozen peaches here, but yesterday I managed to buy 6 great tasting fresh ones, so . . . Thanks for posting the recipe!
