From "Healthy Appetite with Ellie Krieger" episode "The Starting Line."
- 1 cup unsweetened frozen peach slices
- 1⁄2 cup skim milk
- 1⁄2 cup nonfat yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1⁄8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 1 pinch ground ginger
- 1⁄4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high until smooth and frothy.
I liked it, but wished it had a little more flavor. I used vanilla non-fat yogurt.
To give it a little more peach flavor, I used a combination of peach nectar and apple juice in place of the skim milk. I know, I know, that resulted in more calories but the resulting flavor was nice and peachy. I also used almond extract in place of the vanilla and then left out the ginger so the flavors would not compete. Very good.
