My very best friend gave me this recipe. It is very good--looks a little strange, but don't let that fool you.
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄3 cup butter, softened
- 1⁄3 cup flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1⁄4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (29 ounce) cansliced peaches, drained
- 1 pie crust
- Combine, sugar, butter, and flour.
- Add beaten egg and vanilla; mix together.
- Pour over peaches.
- Pour into pie crust.
- Bake in a 300° oven for 1 hour.
This had an interesting taste. I would advise using a deep dish pie crust, as the filling spilled out in my oven.
