A great combo, this is so good!
- 1 large orange, unpeeled
- 6 lbs peaches
- 6 lbs sugar
- 12 ounces maraschino cherries, cut up (reserving juice)
- Put peaches and orange in a food processor after the peaches have been peeled and pits taken out.
- Boil peach pulp with sugar for 45 minutes. Then add the cherries and boil 15 minutes longer.
- Pour into jars, cover and process about 10 minutes in a boiling water bath.
It's because of recipes like this that friends love it when I'm in the kitchen! Making this jam was a snap, & the resulting spread is REALLY DELICIOUS, but then, coming from Sharon, wouldn't it be!
