This is a popular salad at our family gatherings and I usually have to double the recipe. A lot of people that don't like peas like this salad.

This is the best pea salad of this kind that I have ever eaten! I did amend the recipe slightly though. I used 15 oz of the peas and 4 eggs and I mixed the miracle whip with 3/4 c mayonnaise because my finicky sister doesn't think she likes miracle whip. She did love this salad though with it mixed with mayonnaise. I also added some thinly sliced celery (about 1 1/2 ribs). Other than that, it was made according to the recipe. It's great and we thank you for posting it. Oh, I almost forgot, I used finely chopped RED (purple) onion instead of a regular onion. YUM!
- 1⁄2 cup Miracle Whip
- 1⁄2 teaspoon mustard
- 1⁄4 teaspoon sugar
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- 10 ounces frozen baby peas, thawed
- 1 cup mild cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1⁄3 cup celery, chopped
- 2 tablespoons onions, chopped
