Paula Deen's Watermelon Punch

Recipe was taken from the Cooking With Paula magazine. I haven't tried it yet; however, I plan to make it for our Memorial Day celebration.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 6 cups watermelon, seedless, cubed
  • 13 cup simple syrup
  • 1 (12 ounce) can lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 2 cups pineapple juice, unsweetened
  • Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 12 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Combine simple syrup and watermelon in a blender; process until smooth. Push mixture through a fine mesh sieve; discarding solids.
  2. Return watermelon liquid to blender and add lemonade and pineapple juice. Blend well and serve over crushed ice.
  3. To make simple syrup: In a saucepan, combine water and sugar - cook over low heat until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer one minute. Remove from heat and cool.
